Marvin Sams sound feedback design

The attached design is intended to be used with the latest 3.7i software, and will produce a unique type of sound feedback that has previously been difficult or impossible on most eeg feedback systems.  This design is simple and flexible.

The attached study folder "Demo Marvin Sounds II" was designed for Marvin Sams.

This design mimics the sounds Dr. Sams uses for downtraining.

It holds a high pitch, as set in the Event Wizard, if the variable is above threshold.

When the variable goes below threshold, there is a drop in pitch walking down the keyboard.

The following are all adjustable:

The starting note for the top note.
The location of the threshold.
The rate of note decline as you go below threshold.
The musical mode used to descend, e.g. major, minor, lydian, etc.

This particular design uses Alpha Amplitude and Alpha Threshold, so it will downtrain alpha.

The downtrained variable can be selected in the Event Wizard under Event #1, with the selector
pulldown menus, to be any channel , any component , and any variable including amplitude,
percent energy, peak frequency , coherence (2 or more channels), etc.

You can also change the MIDI sound feedback voice, with 128 voices available.  Use a voice
that has a sustained characteristic, e.g. organ, flute, violin, etc. for this training design.

This design is still in a testing phase .  We thank Dr. Sams for valuable input and recordings of the sound feedback, to help guide this design improvement.
