Attached are 3 new Flash Games, and a new Flash Player we are introducing at ISNR 2009.

The new games are described below.

The new Flash Player has a handy onscreen game picker, that lets you pick games with 1 click!

Braincats 2.0

GAME DESCRIPTION

Braincats 2.0 is a step up from its predecessor Braincats.  In this game, the user begins at a cat-select screen where one of five cat-colors may be chosen. Additionally, the user may select the approximate time of race (30 seconds, 2 minutes, or 5 minutes), and choose whether to enable sound by clicking the 'speaker' icon next to the Braincats logo.

NOTE: The implementation of sound in Braincats 2.0 is a merely aesthetic feature which can be thought of as another 'reward' feature - as such, it does not directly affect gameplay.

After clicking 'Start Race!', the race will commence - unlike in Braincats, four of the five cheetahs will move of their own accord, regardless of the progress of the user (their speed, however, will vary according to the user's progress). The selected cheetah will move according to the user's progress - if the user is not satisfying the Event Wizard protocols, their cheetah  will stop entirely.

As the user wins subsequent races, different reward trophies will appear in the race screen. These trophies will also  respond to the user's progress - moving when the Event Wizard  protocols are satisfied, keeping still when the protocols are not satisfied. As with the sounds, these trophies are aesthetic 'reward' content, and do not directly affect gameplay in any  way.

INSTALLATION AND USE

Save the file BrainCats2.swf to the directory
"c:\brainm.20\Flash Player" on your PC.

Then, when you run the training screen, press "Window / Flash Player",
then "File / Open" and select BrainCats2.

The game should be intuitive from that point on: select a cat and  race type, specify if you don't want reward sounds, and start the  race. At the end of the race, the race time of each cat will be shown, and the user will have the option to run the race again, or return to the cat-select screen. If the user does nothing, the race will restart after five seconds.

BrainCats 3D

BrainCats 3D is like BrainCats 2, but it is in 3D!  You use standard "ChromaDepth" glasses to see it in 3D.  You can get chromadepth glasses from BrainMaster, or various other suppliers.

BlimpRace

BlimpRace works like BrainCats 2, but it uses blimps!

Save the attached files to c:\brainm.20\Flash Player and then start the software and the games will be ready to use.

Enjoy!
