The currently available peripheral modalities are:

nIR HEG (near infrared hemoencephalography) from Dr. Hershel Toomim (BioComp Research Institute) (AUX - uses Toomim or PulseOx pod)

pIR HEG (passive infrared hemoencephalograpy) from Dr. Jeffrey Carmen (AUX - uses temp pod)

Temperature (hand sensor) (AUX)

Skin Conductance Response (hand or finger sensors) (EEG Input)

Photo-oximetry - Blood Pulse Wave (BPW) (AUX)

Photo-oximetry - Heart Rate (HR)

Photo-oximetry - Heart Rate Variability (HRV) (AUX)

Photo-oximetry - pO2 Oxygen saturation (AUX)

Note:  Photo-oximetry can be done using finger, ear, or forehead sensors.

Respiratory Effort Belt (1, 2, or up to 4 sensors can be used) (EEG Input)

At this time, a 2x2 can accept two of the above interfaces, and a 4x4 can accept 4.  This is because each interface uses 2 channels, because both signal and reference data are acquired.  Devices marked (EEG Input) use the EEG inputs, devices marked (AUX) use the AUX inputs.

These modalities can be trained in a variety of ways, with feedback including sound, graphics, animations, music, DVD's, and Flash Games.

We are currently developing additional modalities including heart rate and HRV, skin conductance, and others.
