First check all of your sensor connections and re-gel if necessary to get consistent signals.

If you are still not getting consistent signals with your MINI-Q , check the connection to the headgear where the hat plugs into the MINI-Q headbox on the back.  This is the 25-pin connector, also called a "DB-25" connector.  It looks like a serial port, but it is the standard ElectroCap International connector receptacle.  It is surrounded by a hole in the back panel.  This hole needs to accept the shroud on the cap plug, which means the plug needs to slide into the hole by about 1/4 inch.

Depending on your type of electro-cap, the 25-pin plug may need to be pushed into the connector further.  It needs to seat fully into the receptacle, and not be loose or wobble.  If moving this connector seems to affect your EEG signals, this is an issue.

With some electro-cap connectors (thick plastic), there may be a need for the factory to enlarge the receptacle in your MINI-Q.

Contact BrainMaster Technologies, Inc. if you have questions about this.  If your ElectroCap plug will not slide fully into your MINI-Q, we will provide you with a MINI-Q that will work.
