BrainMaster vs. WaveRider

We are sometimes asked to compare the BrainMaster with the Waverider.  While they seem very similar in hardware and software, there are important differences.  The Waverider is a very nice product, which is sold as a personal entertainment device, and is not approved for clinical use.  The BrainMaster is a clinical EEG trainer, and is sold to or on the order of a biofeedback practitioner.  Most of our home users have a clinician who refers them.

The BrainMaster compared to the WaveRider has more graphics, more types of EEG feedback, more session tracking and statistics, and a lot of good software features.  We have over 250 features added since the product was introduced.  In the 2.0, we have provided for "remote" training, so a clinician can have many clients training at home, under their supervision, using the software support functions via email or internet.  We also have interfaces to clinical analysis packages such as NeuroGuide and others, to provide clinically relevant data analysis and reports.

Many Waverider users use the BioExplorer software, which is also a nonclinical product, sold for personal use.  This software can be used to operate BrainMaster equipment if desired, for nonclinical applications.
